I’ve always been drawn to neutrals, greys, lush and stark white decor (even though I’ve got 2 huge doggies) to keep my surroundings looking soft, fresh and airy.
Hubs and I  are currently working on renovating the house which is exciting for me, probably because I’ve always wanted to be an interior designer (if i wasn’t a make-up artist)! Renovating / redecorating can be so much fun but it can be quite stressful especially if you’re doing it by yourself and you want do it right. I’ve been working on this project for months now and I will reveal it to you hopefully soon!

I decided to go with the “Duck Egg” colour for a change. My goal for this project is to create something that is full of light, airy with a touch of french glamour. I’ve always loved the Duck Egg colour because it’s versatile, calming and works well alongside a range of other colours, bringing life to overly bland or dark rooms. Looks great on chalky colours, lifting what could be considered simple colours like brilliant white, greige which is also a fave of mine. You can make it more glamorous as well by using it in a theme that you would like. It’s a “dreamy neutral” to me because it evokes idyllic images of a calming coastal retreat or a contemporary country escape. We live in the countryside after all in Hampshire. I’m excited to share my first of the many projects with you soon guys but for now, above are some images I’ve gathered from Pinterest for my soon to be revealed project.  I hope you enjoy lovelies!

Tell me, Where do you find inspiration when renovating?
